Shalimar residents stage protest against shortage of drinking water | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 12 (KNO): Residents of Aharbal in Srinagar’s Shalimar on Tuesday staged a protest against Jal Shakti department, demanding the restoration of water supply in the area. The residents blocked the road and raised slogans against the department. Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), they said that they fail to understand why they are without drinking water supply. “We have our own water supply but we are without water supply for the last six months. We are neglected,” said a local Syed Imad Ali. The residents said they approached the authorities several times but nothing happened later. “We earnestly request the LG-led administration to kindly address our issue” they added—(KNO)
